Frequently Asked Questions

Attention! Sky Mail users must substitute the following:

POP3 = mail.yourdomain.com
SMTP = mail.yourdomain.com
Username = username@yourdomain.com
Email Address = username@yourdomain.com

Why do I receive an error using my email?

POSSIBLE SOLUTION(S) For Outlook Express Users:

  • POP3 or SMTP server is wrong.
  1. Enter Outlook Express.
  2. Click Tools.
  3. Click Accounts.
  4. Make sure pop3.skylands.net is highlighted.
  5. Click Properties
  1. Click on the Servers tab (as pictured below).
  2. Make sure the following is filled in correctly:

Incoming Mail(POP3): pop3.skylands.net
Outgoing Mail(SMTP): smtp.skylands.net

  1. Click on the general tab
  2. Your email address MUST be filled in to send email!

POSSIBLE SOLUTION(S) For Microsoft Office Outlook Users:

  • POP3 or SMTP server is wrong.
    1. Enter Microsoft Office Outlook.
    2. Click Tools.
    3. Click E-Mail Accounts.
    4. Select view or change existing e-mail accounts
  1. Clcik Next
  2. Highlight pop3.skylands.net
  3. Click Change
  1. Make sure that the following are filled in properly:

Incoming Mail(POP3): pop3.skylands.net
Outgoing Mail(SMTP): smtp.skylands.net
