Why do I get a "Secure Password Authentication" error when I check my email?
POSSIBLE SOLUTION(S):
To disable Secure Password Authentication follow these instructions:
- Open Outlook Express.
- Click "Tools." Then click "Accounts."
- A window will pop up. You want to click on the "mail" tab.
- Click on "pop3.skylands.net." It will become highlighted. Then click "Properties" on the right hand side.
- Another window will pop up. Click on the "Server" tab.
- Uncheck "Log on using Secure Password Authentication."
- Click "Apply" and "OK."
