Attention! Sky Mail users must substitute the following:
- POP3 = mail.yourdomain.com
- SMTP = mail.yourdomain.com
- Username = username@yourdomain.com
- Email Address = username@yourdomain.com
NOTE: username = your given username; yourdomain.com = your company's domain name
For Skylands Networks Email Addresses
The following instructions explain how to set-up your mail account using Mozilla Thunderbird
1. When you start Mozilla Thunderbird for the first time, you will need to create a new email account. Click the link for "Create a new account" in the Mozilla Thunderbird main window.
2. Select "Email account" and then press "Next".
3. Enter your first name, last name, email address, and then press "Next".
4. Select "POP" for mail server type, enter "pop3.skylands.net" in the "Incoming Server" field, enter "smtp.skylands.net" in the "Outgoing Server" field, and then press "Next".
5. Enter your Skylands Networks username in the "Incoming User Name" field if it is not entered already, then press "Next".
6. Enter the name with which you wish to identify this account, it will default to your email address. Press "Next".
7. The final setup screen will be your email account settings summary - check your information and press "Finish" if everything is correct; click "Back" as needed to correct any information.
8. When back to the main Mozilla Thunderbird screen, highlight your email address in the left hand pane and then click the "Get Mail" button.
9. Enter your password and select "Use Password Manager to remember this password".
10. You should now be able to receive and send email with Mozilla Thunderbird
